Hoe controleer je of je antivirus actief is of niet?

• Als u twijfelt over uw antivirus-efficiëntie, kunt u eenvoudig het volgende bestand downloaden: //www.eicar.org/download/eicar_com.zip
• Als uw antivirusprogramma de download blokkeert en een waarschuwing weergeeft, betekent dit dat het antivirusprogramma actief is.
• Als je met je antivirussoftware het bestand kunt downloaden en unzippen, heb je een probleem: je antivirusprogramma is niet actief.

Het EICAR-testbestand is een onschadelijk virustestbestand dat door alle antivirussoftware wordt herkend.

Het hebben van een actieve antivirus is niet genoeg, het is belangrijk om het up-to-date te houden (virushandtekeningen).
